Rayne Longhurst

Rayne is a motivated entrepreneur with nearly 8 years experience in the Scottish academic spin out sector, specialising in environmental technologies. She has been on both sides of the sector, as part of the founding team and commercial champion.
Her specific focus to date has been on provision of innovative solutions to deliver efficiency savings in the water industry.

She has a proven track record of raising start up finance, early stakeholder and commercial negotiations and business development.  Starting out as an academic post doctoral fellow in Materials Chemistry, she was awarded a Royal Society of Edinburgh Enterprise Fellowship in 2004 and belongs to the RSE Entrepreneurs Club, based in Edinburgh.

She has a strong network across industry and government in the UK and Europe. She is currently Chief Executive Officer of EnPrint Ltd, a spin out company that specialises in the commercialisation of a suite of state of the art molecular techniques, for use as detection and diagnostic tools in environmental applications.

Rayne has a BSc(Hons) and PhD in Analytical Chemistry, both from the University of Dundee.
