You know what your edge is.  You have a plausible hypothesis about who should want it.  But do they?  Sometimes they have other problems uppermost in their minds.  So now is the time to check.  Using experienced commercial people with good senior-level networks, we do some asking.  And a lot of listening.

With Step 2 completed, you’ll have authoritative evidence that you have a market waiting.  You are now ready to draw up a business plan.
